LOCKED!!!!!!

Well I didn't plan on installing this until spring but I had a free day today and nothing better to do so I put it in. Not bad for a $160 craigs list find!

It was pretty easy to install. I had to fight with my drivers side brakes so that I could pull the axle shaft back. It took abotu 4 hours but I dont normally work on something start to finish. I like to take breaks.

dont need to to install a lunchbox in an open diff...you never unbolted the carrier from the housing...no backlash and pattern checking needed. uses the existing carrier minus the spider and side gears.

Sweet!
The lunch box lockers (aussie and lock-rite) are very easy to install, just takes a few hours if you haven't done it before. Like Shane said, no need to check patterns or anything. Just pull out the old guts, and put the new ones in.
Speaking of... Shane did you get the Aussie in yet?

Fun stuff isn't it!?!

I really don't think it smells at all. The old stuff didnt smell at all and the new stuff a bit of smell but nothing bad. I almost passed out from the nasty smell of the RTV though.

Next on the list....Front Diff fluid needs to be changed.
