managed to be happy today, sas progress

so one of my friends actually got me motivated enough to drive over to the other house and get my front axle on!! after what happened a few days ago, im glad this happieness came around :)

anyways, the axles on and its on its own weight. and yes i know i need new wheels because to start with, the wheels only have like 2inches of backspacing and theres a 1inch wheel adapter there too lol. So now the trucks flipped around for the rear axle, then itll get trailered into town so i can plate up my frame and get my steering done. And as far as how forward my axle is...i kinda like it, might try and bring it back an inch or so but im happy with its placement.

so compliments only lol, i cant handle negetivity right now.

i would recommend keeping the axle forward like that, it really improves your approach angle, especially because you have leafs.

^^Not to mention when the spring compresses, it'll move back. So no ripping of a fender!

im not afraid to cut at all...problem is i have a fiberglass bed...

and idk if i wanna change over to a straight bed or not.

its bittersweet. id get more room and id be able to hack it up, but id loose my originality. in an ideal world id just throw in some 37's and trim a tad

also, i just ordered new wheels tonight with 4.75" of backspace so those should fit TONS better.

your pitman arm is going to be at the center of your axle causing your drag link to angle way back.

hahaha so if it makes any difference (which i think it does, by like an inch or two) i just realized that i have the leafs setup the opposite way than what they were supposed to be setup as. UGH, oh well....so it really doesnt sit that far forward.
