you can only mount that steering box so far forward then the pitman arm jogs back even more, causing the drag link to bind with the tierod/panhard etc. THe way mine is done it cant go any further forward at all. its so tight.

not sure on the D44, but i know with the 60s you can run a steering behind the axle.. is that a possibility?

well like i said guys...i have the leafs backwards right now. Its odd cuz theyre the way theyre made to face right now...but the guy before me had em set the other way. so the axles supposed to sit like about 2.5" back from where it is now.

anyways, idk what all that **** is set at lol...and im being honest. i dont understand caster and crap...i get camber a lil but thats it.

the way the steering box is supposed to be mounted on my setup is the first bolt hole on the steering box is 1.5" from the back of the first body mount. if that makes sense to u guys.

but ya, this whole setup is an exact copy of what it came off of, so im doing everything he had done...and hoping for the best.

as for the rear axle, its an expo 8.8 with 4.88's and a detroit.

i am mad though cuz im going to have to reset my stupid clockspring cuz i never thought of my steering wheel flailing around all over the place...ugh.
