My 53 F-100

Sorry about the sound quality but it's just a cheapy camera that does video too. You can imagine how it sounds going down the road...Basically just a pipe off the manifold into open Super Trapps.

very nice! I like seeing the older trucks restored.

edit: I love that you kept the rear bumper. older trucks get bumpers...not roll pans!

Thanks. I'll have to take a better picture of the rear bumper. There's about 3/4" thick steel plate that the bumper is actually "glued" to. I bought it that way...I got rear-ended in it at a red light and it tweaked the bumper on the right side. It complete F%@#ED up the Tauras that hit me.

ROFL You've got jokes! I think its good the way it is. Easy to load/unload the 4-wheeler, lumber, trees, or whatever the hells back there.

The "header panel" at the front of the bed is off a 51 IIRC. I BELIEVE it's the original bed, but I can't say for sure. I bought it the way it sits. Under the hood is a 350 SBC, 700R4 trans, and IIRC it's a GM Corp 10 bolt rear end with 2.56 gears. It's slow off the line but it cruises at 60-70 mph nicely.

I like It! Change up the wheels though, Either go modern or retro (I say 15 x 10" rally wheels in the back with poverty caps) and it would be perfect. The rims are kinda dated.

^ Kinda like this

The only thing I have done to that engine is replace the valve cover gaskets, cap, rotor, dist, plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, thermostat, thermostat housing, radiator hoses, and i've MAYBE changed the oil 6-7 times in the past 4 years. Oh....and a new set of tires. I used to drive the hell out of it. It needs some TLC now.

Thanks for all the kind comments fella's. Little story today....

I went to the dealership today to get a part. I walked out and a few salesmen were standing around outside. I got in the truck to leave and one of them came up and told me about the car show they were going to have. I told him I saw the sign on the door and that i'd probably be there. He asked me what engine in it and I told him it was a 350. He said, "oh, a Cleveland?". I tried so hard not to laugh as I said "No, it's a chevrolet". He walked off after that....what a dumbass.

Ya. I quite like it where it is though. Most around here who have these (not many) have them swapped under the bed with a little cap to fill it up there. For as much as I will start driving it again, that's too much of a hassle. Speaking of the bed, i'll have to take pictures of it. It's a solid oak bed!

Eh. I've had the 4-wheeler in there and brick and other stuff so it's kinda messed up but it's not too bad.
