My replacements

So, after selling the B4000, I went out and bought some real Mazdas.

I picked up a pair of B2200's for $1500. Both run and drive perfectly.

First one is a 92 reg cab with Fuel Injection. Only has 80 000 miles on it. I sold it to my buddy, but I'm getting the engine out of it and some other parts.

It was already lowered when we got it, but we put the chrome rims on it.

Second one is an '88 ext cab. Bone stock. Just lowered it tonight. This thing is low.

Right now we have the lowest static dropped trucks rolling around Lethbridge. Since I bought the red one, I've only spent $65 on it to lower it.

With the leftover money, I paid off some bills, so everything's good.

Red one is going to be cleaned up and painted when I decide what to do with it. It's getting all clear lights, H4s, chrome grille & bumper, Mazda Protege bucket seats, Grant steering wheel, new gauge cluster with a tach and maybe some other stuff. I'm not going crazy with it. It'll end up looking alot like my old green one.

The black one has a 2.2 FI motor, about 96hp, but it seems to pull really good. The ext cab has a carburated 2.2, about 90hp. It's not bad. They're super good on gas. The FI motor is going in my red truck next week. w00t

Sad to see the mazda go. It was one of my favorites. But those b2200's are sweet little trucks. I almost got one not that long ago.

The trucks looks good. I can't wait to see how the red one ends up. How did you drop it so low with only $65?

$65 for a pair of 3" lowering blocks. Then all we did was pull out 2 leaf springs on each side, remove the front lower bumpstops and crank the torsion bars down.

yeah its kinda said...I really liked how the rockerguad job turned out, and after i cut off the muffler it sounded amazing. The guy that bought it from me lives about 3 blocks away from me, so it's all good.

Sick Mazda's Mike. Stay on here and keep updating. What are the plans for the rims/color of the red?

There are so many of them running around here, I have thought about picking one up to slam it and drive to school lol.

You know....when someone said you'll never get rid of the ranger in your blood in your other thread, all I could think if was Mikey will never get rid of the MAZDA in his blood... Seems like I was most definately right! The new truck is begging for Escalades!

Reminds me of my old '88 B2200 I got fo free .99 from my neighbor that wasn't running. About a can of starting fluid later she was runnin' like a champ!

yup I bleed Mazda.

The alternator sh*t the bed on the black truck today, but I'm getting a spare one from my buddy so it's all good.

As for air ride and hydros....nope..not my thing. It's cool on everyone else's trucks but I'm all about the simplicity and static drops.

How easy are they to drop? Got any good websites that I can browse and check out?
