Icon7 My truck as of now

Well I've got it on the road and thought I'd clean it up and post some pictures. Truck is running great! Has 275,000 kms on it and I picked it up for 600 bucks, not to bad. Can't wait to spruce it up and actually make it look reasonably nice. So feel free to give some comments, compliments (hah!) or complaints lol

Here it is before I cleaned/detailed it.

The mighty 2.3L Lima!! Complete with factory headers.

Scrubbed the rims so they look a little better, going to eventually paint them black though.

Driver side: As you can see the tailgate has an ugly piece of sheet metal on it. Need to find a new tailgate!

Not to bad....Need to find a new hood as the one on it is pretty much facked. Also will be painting the grill and bumper black

The interior: it was pretty gross before I cleaned it, now its lemony fresh and spick n' span.

And for old times sake here my ol' merkur xr4ti! some of the turbo guys will appreciate this!

Did a few things to my truck, first I was at crappy tire to get a jack and saw that they had mesh tailgates marked down to 10 bucks so I thought I'd try it out. Second I installed my cd player! So heres some pics of a gen3 ranger with mesh tailgate for anyone who wondered....

Shes got a few miles but runs like brand new. No kidding out of all the 2.3's I've had this is the best running one and it has the most miles! My plans, well first paint the grill and the bumpers black, find a new hood and maybe find a cheap used "roll"/light bar for it.

Suspension wise I'm thinking of doing the 4" Rough country lift with 31x10.5 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs. I was thinking of doing a body lift but I don't really feel like doing that. I'd like to preserve the frame as well. Its a bit crusty, not rotted through or cracked anywhere but I may end up taking the bed off and wire wheeling it and throw on some POR 15 or chassis saver, whichever i can buy in store. After that well, who knows. I just know its not going to be lowered....lowered means i'd have to get rid of all the scratches and worry about making new ones. Lifted means I look forward to making new scratches :D
