Love it man!

Let's see some more shots of the dash with the d3! Did you pull the d3 all the way up or did you leave the gap like I have for a fake faceplate mod?!

my plan is to goto the junkyear anbd pull a factory radio faceplate off and glue all the buttons on it so they dont fall out and use it to "cover" the d3 so it appears i have a stock radio

Hah Tre did the same thing. If they have another one for really cheap will you grab it up for me? It doesn't have to work or anything.

Here's mine (Keep in mind this is way before I did my bezel and insert painting):

And what it looks like now... I can take some pics of it all painted with the fakeplate on it lol

Forgot to mention, it's held in place by mega strong mini magnets which i glued to the back side of the bezel and then on the faceplate where they would meet if there wasn't something between the two magnets. It almost "clicks" into place and doesn't move when I put it on. I jut grab the volume **** when I get in the truck and open the console and throw it in and BAM anti-theft. Pretty slick.

Yeah move it back like where mine is. It makes the "fakeplate" sit flush with the bezel and appear stock. :)

my question is how did you mount your d3..i had to run 2 screws into the bezel to the radio threaded sides in order to mount it

You still have to mod the bezel, basically trim it down, to get the dash kit in. Keep that in mind.
