It's just one of those trendy things that I never got into, like the huge 80's sunglasses I guess.
Personally I like the people behind me to know when I'm on the brakes, people have a hard enough time driving as it is, last thing I want to do is make my brake lights significantly darker. Plus in my opinion it is just asking for a ticket with no red showing.
I've been on the highway in torrential downpours behind people with tail light covers and dark dark niteshade like that and the lights don't show up worth a ****, and I have great vision. You can see them if you are intentionally staring at them, but the light doesn't jump out like it should.

I like how they look "slightly" tinted but without being dark, that's just me
Not trying to knock the truck (I like everything else), but the tail light just don't do it for me.

ive been running my grand prix like this for almost 3 years now

never any problems from the cops. and its straight piped too lol

They look good tinted, but I really would have left them red. You're hiding all that LED sweetness behind the tint!

Yeah they're off ebay...

 

I just see a bunch of the clear ones, which look like poop. I think these tails would match my line of fire a lot better.
