oh, and on Levels (in ohio):
LEVEL 1: SNOW ALERT:
Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads are also icy, drive carefully.

LEVEL 2: SNOW ADVISORY:
Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roadways. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work.

LEVEL 3: SNOW EMERGENCY:
All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one should be out during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel. All employees should contact their employer to see if they should report to work. Those traveling on the roadways may subject themselves to arrest.

^ hell yes it does... ive actually been looking heavily at getting a 4x4 over the summer now because i had some ****ty experiences yesterday.

hah driving well does help alot same with limited slip, but i almost got stuck on a hill yesterday because some douche in his bently ( yes he was in his rwd bently in a snowstorm) got stuck just before the top and was blocking the lane, so trying to get going again on a 20something% hill is a pain... and performance all seasons dont help ha

haha you guys can get arrested for driving in the snow. we dont have anything like that here. but if your in the ditch buried in snow, everyone has the right to laugh at you.

although i must say there are situations where i know i shouldnt have been out. but we had a blast driving in the parking lots of the industrial parks

my wife and a freind tried to go to a wedding today, they were litterly 200 ft from the house when they stuck her dodge mini-van. i tried to push them through, no luck. ended up hooking to the hitch on both vehicles and pulled her backwards into the trailer park. went around a stalled trailblazer and she slightly hit it. i didnt even know we had hit it until i had stopped. didnt do much damage though. followed her home and got back home myself, was busting drifts over the hood, visability was horrible. i'll say she had some nerver trying it though! ive looked under the ranger since ive gotton home and its soild ice. dont know how the brakes or suspention will work the next time i need it. its probly stuck in 4low too. ive used my 4wd more this winter than the whole 4 years ive owned the truck. days like today make it a good thing to have. glad i put 500 pound in the back 2 days ago also. i almost put my summer tires on last tues when it hit 64 and i changed oil. glad i left my winter ones on. have a few more pics. I find it funny that when your roads are closed, here I would get written up for being late for work.

Now I remember why I retired to the So. Calif desert. Last time I saw snow like that was probably 30-35 years ago.

it would be nice if we saw anything remotely close to that anymore... ever since al gore invented global warming, we haven't seen any snow. i think so far this season we've seen maybe 4 inches total, lol.. the plow guys are jumping out of windows because it's so pathetic.

I was out driving all day yesterday in my buddies F-3fiddy. we pulled out about 7 cars. made alot of money.
almost all the cars we pulled out were SUV's with 4X4, and they thought that was an excuse to go driving...

We got pretty lucky here in NW Ohio. My buddy and I went to a Blackhawks game Friday (skybox seats) and didnt get back till 3am saturday. It wasnt too bad by then. Even yesterday we got like another 2 in so the total was about 7. We got nothing compared to the rest of you guys.

dude it was wicked cool out all day yesterday. Once i spent an hour to go into work, to work 1.5hrs, i spent the afternoon hitting all the side streets found 4 people stuck, and helped them out, plus i saw older people shoveling and called my buddy who went and plowed the driveways for a dollar.
Then last night my g/f and our friends wanted to sled ride, so... garbage can lid and a rope around their development, and they were sledding at 30mph. I kept swinging them into snow mounds

well i didnt take any photos but i woke up to white roads until about noon when it started to warm up (33) and melt the roads. Just spent the last 9 hours shoveling sidewalks that had not been touched so that means roughly 23" of snow plus about 10" because of snow drifts... to say the least im dead ha, and im sick of snow and just saw there is more coming

we got 14" locallay. went to the junkyard yesterday to get a replacement tail lamp assy. found one 20 bucks. it was a mess walking through there, all sorts of stuff covered up and all. ive never worried about being ticketed on a level 3. the step on the bumper gathers snow and covers the plate up, and no ltd crown vic will be able to stay with me long. next town over they have a 4wd exploder patrol vehicle. guess i'll stay away from there. its melting rather fast now. im ready for my "summer rims" and to offload that 500 pounds ive been carrying around for awhile.
