Picked up some 38s

I have not posted much since my other hobbies took over, but finally got something new for the truck. The 37s haven't ripped the axles off yet, so I figured I would try a little harder and go with some 38s. I picked up a collection of 7 used 38x15.5x18 Mickey ATZs from 2 different people. The tread varies on them, but there look to be at least 4 in very good shape. The shops are all closed today so hopefully I can get them mounted tomorrow.

Yeah, They look odd with normal width tires. I was hoping when I went from 12.5 wide to 14 it would fill them out, but it didn't as much as I wanted.

If the tires don't kill the truck it should look good anyway. They are surprisingly soft and flexible. My current tires are load range d and have much stiffer sidewalls. I am interested to see how these ride.

Tease... I want mounted pics.
Me too, I called about 4 shops before I realized they were all closed on Sundays. You need to take my 37s. They would go perfect on your truck.

7?
HAHA...that was my first thought. Not sure what Kate will say about that either when she gets home and sees a pile in the driveway (I forgot to mention it before she left for the weekend) I went about an hour and picked up 4 for cheap, (supposed to all be 90%) but 2 of them looked worn. About 1/2 mile from me a guy had an ad for 3 that were even cheaper, but supposedly worn. His were in better shape so I grabbed them too. I already put an ad up on Cl for the extras.

Here is the thread from when I was mounting it.

It works well, but right after I got it I made a kayak rack for the bed and then picked up a trailer, so I am thinking of taking it back off. Here are 2 pics from this summer:

IIRC his front end is holding up because he doesn't drive it very often, and he doesn't wheel it... those meats are goona look perfect on there...!

Didn't realize you were not local anymore, shows how much I have been on I guess.

Yeah, me too. Especially since everything is still all original from the factory. With age and mileage alone it should be getting time for some replacements. For now everything is still tight though. For the most part it has an easy life of highway driving and towing the ski around. I am sure one serous trip off road would change everything.

I forgot today was Columbus day (parent teacher conference day where I teach) so I won't make the shop before it closes today.

Haha you sound like me. I have 12 33" Super Swampers of various conditions I've picked up over the last month in my back yard right now.
