Put discs on my 1967 Mercury Cougar today
The Cougar is, and will always be my favorite classic muscle car of all time. If I ever get the chance (and the money), I'll have one.
Both look like they are in excellent condition. More pictures are necessary!

looks good, i remember doing the GVM conversion on my 68 mustang, best deal ever, got a 1978 mercury grand monarch for free,a nd robbed the front discs, and the disc brake rear end out of it
actually if you can find one, the 1977-1978 grand monarch's, and lincoln versalles have a disc brake rear end that is a direct bolt in
do you have power booster or no? also i recommend putting the disc brake master cyl in it, i made that mistake in my stand, and left the non power master cyl in it, and when i put a booster in it the brakes went hay wire on me

Well the rears are still drums but I plan to take the rear end out of like a older Mach 1 so I can have limited slip and the rear rotors. Yeah it is power brakes from the factory so no problems there I put a proportioning valve in it to make it like a 60/40 on the brakes but unfortunatly the heads are off the car getting cleaned, shaved, and port and polished, I am also adding some roller rockers to it so it should be awsome when I get to drive it next more power and the brakes to stop it. Here are some pics from the last show I went to of my car and I don't have anymore of his because it was just resently his got painted and what not.

Thanks guys, yeah it is finally getting to were I really want it to be I got it when I was 15 so its been like a 6 year project on low funds but I think it is turning out very good. Seans car has the Elinor kit on it from Gone in 60 Seconds, he is going more restomod with his car but I am going somewhat original because it has the original motor and trans.

very cool car, as far as the rear end, you'd really be happy finding a rear end out of either a grand monarch, or a versalles, they are a 9" and sometimes come with a trac loc, and disc brakes
Lol thanks guys I am putting new cylinder head on the car next week that are shaved, port and polished and machined to match my cam so I am pretty exited about the extra power I will be getting I am also going with a roller rocker so that will help some too. I am getting the car ready for Fun Ford Weekend in Georgia
