Raced the Ranger Again... Pics Inside
This was the second year I have raced my truck in the Tuff Trucks race at the San Diego County Fair in Del Mar CA. Good times as always.
This year I finished 24th out of 40 something trucks. Trucks 10-25 were all within a second of each other. Overall a fun time again. Destroyed both of my skid plates, broke some of the lower bumper, and hurt my back even wearing a good HANS device when I stuffed the front on the last run. Really can't wait till next year!
On to the pics! I didn't take them, obviously..
And some videos... pay no attention to the commentary... lol

That was the one that compressed my back and hurt my girlfriend neck. It was a very hard hit. Between runs 2 and 3 they built that section up bigger.
Little of both. The truck is a desert truck so it's not really set up for this kind of stuff. Like my front end is really under sprung for short course. I'd say stiffer springs up front and about 20 more HP or a set of 6.0 gears and I could knock off a couple seconds.
Still my favorite vehicle of all time... Viva la Land Shark!

Yea the competition was intense. I raced in the Open (pro/unlimited) class again so I was up against a Trophy Truck, several Pro-Lite race trucks, a handful of desert race trucks, and the 2007, 08, and 09 Northern California Tuff Trucks champion. Thus why I'm thrilled with where I finished.
Here's my friends Jeep Wrangler TJ that I swapped wheels/tires with. He's got a 3 1/2" lift and I think the tires look great on it.
