Remembering Back When

So im sitting in my office at my second job (Draftsman by day, Drafting Teacher in the evenings) and I found an old folder that I had back in 06. For those that dont know, I teach at the commuinity college I graduated from back in 08 as my second job. I actually replaced my teacher LOL.

Well in this folder were some pics of my old Ranger and me and Sara back in the day; or at least 5 years ago. Man how time changes everything! I was 19 then and in my first year of college and hadnt had my Old ranger all that long. Most know me as the guy with the Super Clean Red Ranger, but hardly anyone knows what got me started in Rangers:

The day I bought her home. I paid $2800 for this 94' Reg cab 2.3 4x2 in Mocha Frost with 120k on the clock. FUnny thing is, I had a timing belt break in 06 and made my first thread here when it did. Didnt come back until 08 when I bought the new truck because I had forgotten I had an account here:

Sara back when she was 19:

This truck is where my fascination for washing my vehicles started. I too washed this truck 1-2 times a week and waxed it EVERY month:

You can see where some idiot didnt paint the bed right. this was later fixed when a lady backed up into me .

My first mod was a $90 toolbox I got from a kid in college. not bad for a diamond plate toolbox!

Then I got me some Evilbay clear headlights so I could actually see, and put some offbrand Silverstars in them.

Then came the Evilbay billet grille for $50

This was me thenn I think i might have weighed 145 lbs LOL. I now weigh 185 lbs:

I kept a clean truck!

I then bought wheels for it, some Pacer Soft-8s in chrome:

My cheap headlights started to get condensation, so this was my temporary fix. Also ran 265 A/Ts on her:

RIght before I sold her in 08 for $1500 and 183k on the clock:

And then now I have this now as all know:

Its amazing how you can tell how much one grows up by the truck and mods

I'm sure some day I will find an old picture of my Ranger and reminisce as well. My story will be similar, minus the girl, and keeping my truck clean lol. But I am 18 and a whopping 140 lbs lol. I would have skipped the front plate though.

i keep a file of all pics i take of my truck too. including mileage pics.

i think the digital age has helped some people who have OCD and keep mementos since it takes up less space then a pouch of pictures.

Nice pics! Every once in a while I see pics of my old Ranger. I still miss it but someday I'll have another just like it!
