Rotor upgrade and new front pads

I found (thanks to FX4wannabe) that with Superlift suspension lifts (older kits) have the option to keep stock rotors or upgrade to a 12 inch rotor, so I went ahead and upgraded! Along with all the other front end replacements I did, I upgraded to Centric 12" rotors and Centric Posi-quiet brake pads!

Nothing like a free upgrade! Well... pretty much free if you needed brakes anyways!

What are the 12" rotors off of? Still using stock calipers? I'm always down for a brake upgrade!

They are Centrics, made for the 2003+ rangers, and I am using stock calipers. The only way I could upgrade is because I have a Superlift on my truck and can move the caliper bracket back an inch. The Superlift knuckle has 2 sets holes in it for the caliper bracket to keep it at stock rotors or move it back for larger rotors. If you have stock suspension, you can not upgrade due to having only 1 place to mount the caliper bracket

I need rear shoes so its hard to tell. I took it out and I can feel the front end grab better, but I still have to take it out at higher speeds

Well I have a superlift so I may be in business..but I'd def. also like to know if there is any benefit to the upgrade. I would think the caliper can only grab what surface area it touches..no matter how big the rotor.

I have a guy I use in New York, he beats any prices on Centric parts. Shoot me a PM and I'll hook you up with him.

Good deal! I took it out some more today to break them in and...YEAH..BIG difference! I got really good stopping power man, just have to break them in a bit more at different speeds.
