Thanks for the props on the bed rack. It is not complete but I really like how it turned out. As for the RCD no real problems although the coils have settled. Bad if you want a level truck. Now for some pictures...

no alternate routes besides backing down about a mile worth of trail. one way up and one way down. you pick. luckily we both made it out ok and i know matt helped me out a lot by spotting me and i hope i helped him out as well but i think that i try to think it out to much and might make it worse

yea, i'm still skiddish on side slops, especially one thats not firm and grippy. it makes it worse when there's a nice drop off lol

once its not a DD and i've flopped it a few times it shouldn't be too bad

That section was truly one of the worst on the trail. Zero margin for error. For what it is worth, the spotting help went both ways.

the one pictured was grippy but if you got a tire close to the edge it looked like it wanted to crumble away and it was prolly a 50ft roll to the bottom of the ravine. so unless you have a full cage and full exocage prepare for DEATH!!! lol.

When I mean marked I'm curious as to if there are sign at the trailhead or if parts of the trail are marked so you don't accidently get onto another trail.

Matt: What book are you using? I know of a few but which one do you perfer? Thanks

The book that we were using yesterday was Backcountry Adventures Arizona by Peter Massey and Jeanne Wilson. It is a good book with nice color pictures and a fair amount of the local history. The other book (can't remember the title) is in black and white and tends to focus on some of the more extreme trails in the state. To navigate, I entered 42 way points from the trail description in the book. In my opinion this is necessary to stay on the right trail when driving out in this part of the world. There are several intersecting roads out there.
