I used to take it off road on the regular, but just mud, and changed the wheel bearings regularly when I was doing so. And yes, the T-bars were cranked all the way the the big alignment cams on the uppers. I had it slightly out of alignment to the point of after 40k miles on my BFG's I'm just now starting to see a wear difference on the inside of the tires. This has been daily driven street for a while, and I had changed the wheel bearings maybe 10k miles before this happened. But, I hit the brakes and turned the wheel to get into the parking spot and I SLAMMED into the parking lot, infact right out my second story window I can see the "C" that the end of my lower arm imprinted into the pavement. So, with me still having all my stock stuff and an uncle who does paint and body, I've lowered it 8" and it's still on 33's.

I know it's "unsafe", but I didn't have the tools with me, so I towed it to a buddy's shop and did it there.

Lol, I know I know, I liked it too when it was big. Right now all it has on it is the body lift and an AAL, I even took out both the blocks in the rear. So these tires + no blocks + trac bars = a little more fun on the street. And yes I know I had the biggest Ranger in Pensacola, and yes it still makes me cringe when some punk pulls up in a beat up truck that's bigger than mine and says "Why don't you get a man's truck 'stead of that lil' toy." I just don't have the money to buy more stuff right now, and I don't like having an average truck, so if I can't be big for cheap I'll drop for cheap. I'm just going 2" under stock.

that sucks the same thing happened to my stock ranger. If you google maps "street view" my house,
9500 Moraine Way, Juneau, AK 99801 - Google Maps
you can see my ranger sitting with one corner on blocks. The picture is 2 years old.

I don't think it'll embed but ill try

I have the Springtech/Doetsch 3" spindles... No idea their reputation, but I hope it's better than these Fabtechs!

How so? I think lifted a 2wd is "kinda gay". Not everyone needs to lift... You will really hate me, my FX4 is below stock height.

Well you stooped to the same level as him by calling a certain height of a truck "gay" as well. Honestly, a lowered 4wd is as odd as a lifted 2wd so there's not much room for arguing. :P

No stooping here. In order to stoop wouldn't I have to be on a higher level already? I generally live in the petty argument stage anyways. And if my entering the conversation is stooping, aren't you also a stooper seeing as you chose to join us?

Naw, I didn't label any of them gay, but rather brought to attention that the argument seems pretty silly considering the circumstance. :)

Nah, no new pics yet, still got to put the new fender on and get new tires before I strip off the body lift. But overall plans now?........... I plan on getting a locker, because as of right now, launching from a stop with the torque converter loaded my 12.50 AT's break loose on one side or the other. Why a locker if I plan on getting softer/wider tires?.........later on down the road I plan on investing in the Morana V6 stroker kit and an after cat turbo system..........about the same total cost of a SAS, but not as much fabrication. Also you motorheads out there, this question's been in my mind for a while, well since I did my rocker arms: Will that cam on Tom Morana Racing Engines work with 1.7 ratio rockers? I figured I'd go ahead and get new valve springs, but is that TOO much lift for those arms? And I don't want to hear anything about "why would you polish that turd?". It's my turd and I'll polish it if I want, lol. Once I'm done this will put out more than enough hp for my little 4,000 lb truck to make me happy, I'm not planning on dragging it for a living, it's a DD. I know I could do a lot more with a 5.0, but I don't want to.

i would think if they were the same ratio the arms would work with the cam.

The stock ratio is 1.6, so these aren't THAT much different, but I don't want it to be that little bit too much so that at full lift valve springs are completely compressed. I guess I could just get a custom grind if it came down to it.
