Did some work to my Dodge.

Well, for the last 5 or so days, I've been doing some stuff to my Dodge. Let me know what you think:

05 Chevy Silverado LS 4X4 auto with 36K miles. No power options, and has the smaller V8, but that's actually PERFECTLY fine with me. I got a 3 year, 36K mile warranty, $250 credit to an audio place to have a new stereo installed, and my uncle (who works for the dealer) is going to personally detail the truck for free. The only reason I went with the Chevy instead of that Dakota I was looking at was because I wanted to still use the tool box I bought, and I think it'll be a better travel rig. Plus, it has 22K less miles then the Dakota.

Don't worry, though. The Ranger is still parked in front of my garage. Once I get it running, I'll be throwing extra money into it to finally lift it and everything. I've decided to make it the dedicated wheeler.

Don't worry, I got my flame suite on!

Couldn't tell you, as I literally got the keys about 2 hours ago.

You'll know in about a week.

It's rated at 19 highway (4.8 liter), but I imagine I will be getting about 17 or so. The Dodge was starting to lose something, and I was getting a consistent 12, even after a full tune up and oil change.

You know, at first, I wasn't really liking the idea of the 4.8, but after driving it, I don't see a huge difference between the 4.8 and 5.3. A friend of mine has the 5.3 in his rig, and it's a little faster when you mash down the throttle, but mine seems to hold highway speeds just as good.

It's a HUGE improvement over that gutless 5.2 5 speed.

I only have a few things I already want to do. A leveling kit, remove the stupid dealer decals, the bug guard, and POSSIBLY the chrome and lastly, name it Vanilla and give it a full body massage every day. By full body, I mean my body rubbing on it :)

Nice, I had a 99 WT 1500 4x4 ext. cab just like yours...except it was red and a 99, the only thing that sucked was the center seat didnt fold down as a console/arm rest.

I literally can't get rid of the Ranger. I have tried, but as soon as I am about to tell somebody to come get it, I get kicked in the nuts.

That, and it's giving me a discount on my insurance, so I'm going to keep it, LOL!

Yeah, the center one doesn't fold down in mine either. I'm actually drawing up some plans for a center console right this second. Just need to find some lumber to work with
