Sunken Ranger

So it all started out by going through this mud hole with only 2 inches of water in it.

Then this happened.

Notice in the picture below that the front passenger side is swallowed in mud up till the top of the headlight and the passenger side rear tire is completly buried also.

Took 3 hours of digging in order for me to be able to be pulled out. The front corner of the passenger side had about a foot of water in it and my 4x4 control unit is fried. Other than that all is good now. lol

Can you explain how the 3 hours of digging got you out? I can't really picture what you did. Also, how did the truck end up on that angle, did you go in like that and keep pushing to try and make it through, or did you get stuck and the truck sank like a rock?

I wouldn't even know where to begin if that were me.

I went in and the truck sunk. and it kept sinking....eventually it kept sinking that it got close to flipping so i had the front and rear drivers side frame chained to 2 trees. i had to dig for three hours so i my friend could pull me out. i wasnt going anwhere with my tires that burried.

my guess is he started to slow down then he smashed the gas and spin and sunk in faster then he could react and by the time he got it into revers he was already screw and then when he spun in reverse he made it worse. lol thats just my guess

Edit: he told his story the same exact time i guess dang guess i was wrong lol o well nice stuck and nice truck. time to invest in a winch

I hate it when that happens. I got in deep with my lifted truck a week ago and had 5" of water in the cab before I got out. Hosed my subwoofer amp.

I'm buying a marine amp. Waterproof. End of issue, lol.

Anyway, glad you got out.

Go to the JY and grab a new 4x4 module, it won't be over 100. That does suck, I almost did the same exact thing to mine except I was going thru a mud hole and almost went into a 5 foot ditch lol. Scary ****

Or you can get rid of it. Mine is built into my center armrest, lol. And it's not computerized and can be bypassed.

DOH! No, build it yourself. I have an easier to build one coming out though. Just a lot of relays, lol. It's what I'm using.

the jeep couldent pull you out? looks like a stright shot out the back, maybe a couple bumps to get the muck out of the wheels.. i bet if you dident dig your selfe in he would of been able to pull you out in 2 seconds..

If you look at the pics you can see that the passenger rear tire is in so far its being blocked from rolling. Thats why they can't pull him out.
