Truck Progression.

Here is a little picture timeline of my trucks progression to the state at which I am happy with it at for the most part.

When I got it a few months ago:

After the body lift a couple weeks ago:

I was going to keep it at that state for a while until I needed new tires, then I was going to throw some bigger tires on my stock rims.

But then I found a deal for 5 mickey thompson tires with 1800 miles on them, and the spare didn't touch the road for 700, wrapped around mickey thompson 15x 10 beadlocks.

And How it sits now:

Let me know what you think,

Tim.

Now I'm on the hunt for a front skid plate. With the body lift, the bottom of my radiator is asking to get messed up.

I'm contemplating it now. If I make up a template, my dads friend can cut/bend the plate. Doesn't seem too difficult to make up.

Anyone now a good thickness to use?

Where I plan to take it next as in "modding it"? I'm gonna give making a front skid plate a shot this weekend since my radiator is so vulnerable. I made a cardboard template and I only need to bend it in two places, so I think I'll be alright.

I'll post up pictures of that if I am succesful.

EDIT: I am succesful. 50 bucks and an hour and a half was all it took to make up a nice skid plate. I'll get pictures of it this weekend. I went 3/16 instead of 1/4 becuase I wasnt sure If I would be able to get the bends I wanted in the 1/4 stuff. What I have is definitely strong enough for what I want it to do. Pictures this weekend.
