that bumper is sweet. Is that the same one seabass has? If you dont mind me asking how much did the bumper run you?

 

I'm not doubting that the frame might of been twisting while lifting on the sliders, but in a hard and sudden impact (dropping on a rock) I wonder how easily it would dent or bend the pipe.. a slow steady lift isn't a good test..

I'm wanting to get myself a set, but am worried about the impact strength, don't want to be cuttin it off to redo them later.. they look great though, sharp looking truck!!

I think after you mount a winch on that bumper, it will complete the look. Right now, though, it just sticks out a little too far for my taste.

The truck looks awesome, though. I really like the bed liner on the bottom half of the truck. I almost want to do that to my Chevy, cause it looks awesome!

hey, i realy want a pair of sliders, but they look a little short?? if you came of a rock with the front tire. it looks like you would still smack the very front of the rockers? and if you were sliding down. would you clip the back part of the rocker before getting the rear tire? is it just the pic or are they a little too short on each side?? thanks

Your truck has always been one of my favorites. I like the sliders, and the bumper...

However, I did like your previous bumper better. But I understand that this new one is more effective.

The way i look at it, these are going to protect the rocker panels from rocks to the side of the truck as well as if I get high centered.

As far as the length, I think they are OK. Longer would be better, but these wil still add considerable protection. How often do you high center right behind or in front of the wheels....?

cranked the t-bars a little more and Pre-08 adjusters did the trick. Its heavy, but nothing the front end cant handle.

To be honest, I really don't like that bumper at all. The old tube one flowed waaayyyy nicer. That just looks like a slab of metal hanging off the front.

Sliders look great though.

the tube is going to dent, i wouldn't worry about the frame too much, you'll probably stick the sliders into your door/rocker before you tear the frame.. did you plate the frame or weld the tube straight to it?

exactly. i still don't get why people think lifting from a hi lift is a sufficient test.. slowly jacking it up.. vs ~4,000lbs coming slamming down onto it.

they are a little short looking, mine are 81". they are flush-ish with my cut out bed sides, and a few inches back from the cut out in the fenders to allow me to cut the fenders back w/o cutting the sliders.

and most of the existing damage i have on the rockers isn't right behind the front tire, but i do have damage right infront of the back tires.
