good luck with that!

plan on replacing the manifolds or the front pipe flanges/bolts when they get pulled away from the engine over time!.

that spring loaded flange is there for a reason!
mine has been like w/o the flange for 2 years now w/no problems

the spring bolts are to absorb vibrations in the exhaust system. cracked manifolds are the most common issue.

Ive been 6 years without that spring flange...

For $150 that did a damn good job! Not only were the welds nice it looks like for the amount of the time they had into it, they did a f**k of a job in my opinion. Looks nice dude!

I was looking at the tip while it was running yesterday and you are right. It does shake a little bit while the truck is idling. I never looked before to see if it did that.

Then I started wondering about how they mounted it. It looked like they just welded the hangers to the frame. I got under there and looked and they used two stock rubber hangers that just happened to be in the right place. Maybe they planned it that way. At least the whole exhaust will be able to move with the engine instead of resisting it.

Can I paint these with something to prevent rust? Is there a paint that can handle that heat?
