Wheelin w/ carnage at URE, What's 56k?

Just got back from Uwharrie. Went with a friend of mine and his son. Had a blast on some tough trails and only had a few problems. Lots of steep hill climbs and rocks. I was having some overheating problems and just about rolled the truck. What a great weekend!! Videos are still uploading.

Never trust your emergency brake. We pulled up this very steep hill on Rocky Mount and came up on some big rocks. We got out to check them out and the truck takes off backwards.

It rolled atleast 200 ft backwards picking up speed the whole way. It bounced back and forth off the walls of the trail, just about rolled but it slammed in to the wall, and finally got jammed up against a tree and the side of the trail.

Talk about some scary ****. I thought my truck was done for. I've got some video of this but my navigator sucks and didn't get all of it going down the hill.

Tire marks almost 4 ft off the ground.

This is such a small dent compared to how bad it could've been. I was expecting the bed corners to be crunched and sides to be smashed in. We couldn't believe this is all that happened the way it was bouncing off the sides. Thank the Lord!!

Tire must have hit the bed here when the truck ran up the wall.

I wish this video did it justice. I don't know why but I chased the truck down the hill holding on to the bumper until it got too fast. Like I could have stopped it or something. lol Camera man=fail

I wanna see the video of the truck rolling. Did your truck get any damage from hitting the walls and trees?

My favorite quote form you post:

Other than the fender I came out of it with a cracked bed side, dented up some undercarraige stuff, lost the bead on a tire, and busted something in the power steering. But all in all it could be much worse. I'm so glad that's all that happened.

How bad is the bed? You going to replace or let it roll cause it'll happen again.

The bed isn't that bad, just a few cracks. I hope it never happens again. lol We would've been good on damage had the truck not rolled down that hill.

That is Kodak Rock. I tried to get up it and couldn't make it, I think we have some video of it. I just don't have the clearance and flex to make it. That's a tough spot.

It takes us a little more then a hour to get there.

Pretty much, not sure about the steering. It still works but has a pretty steady leak.

Me too, and I just got back. lol

Have you been before? In what?

Why is that?

That was the meanest damn snake. We were just getting it away from the trail because it wouldn't move out of the way.

that sucks about your truck! I never get out of any vehicle unless its in PARK. Or in gear with the engine off in a manual.

It was in park and the e-brake was on. I was worried about the transmission getting torn up going that far in reverse while in park. But no trouble yet. *knocks on wood*

I really shouldn't have trusted it knowing that the brakes weren't the best and with that hill being so steep. But you better believe it was a lesson learned. I didn't get out of the truck the rest of weekend unless it was on level ground. lol
