2.3 to 3.0?

First I'll start off by saying I'm new to this web site thing lol. I have a 92 standard cab xlt 2.3 with 350000 miles with a few rough body areas and found a 92 3.0 with a lot less miles with all the pieces I need but has cab damage . My question is what all would I need to do to switch my 2.3 out and put the 3.0 in ? Wireing? Mounts? I'm wanting to switch the engine and tranny since both are in better shape . Thanks in advance.

I think the 2.3l had a cross brace under the engine that would need to be removed, and not sure if that was a bolt on or welded on.

But yes, that would certainly be doable assuming both have manuals or both automatics transmissions.
The bolt patterns for 2.3l and 3.0l transmission are not the same so you have to swap trans in any case.

Yes, you will need to change the engine wiring harness and the computer, but that should be pretty straight forward once you start.
The rest of the wiring should be the same since they are the same year
