Well I got an 85 ranger but the guy i got it from said the vacuum system is messed up. It Idles really rough and in further investigation i found like a 3 foot hose coming off the egr and i am not sure what to do with it. its the only hose not connected to something and i am also trying to get the cruise control to work. Any help you can give me would be greatly apprecited

Thanks, Is there a hose coming off of your egr? Everything else looks about the same to me. if i stand on the driver side and look at the egr there is a small hose coming directly towards me, any info on where it should go? and also i was fooling with it yesterday and under my dash there is two purple/white wires that arent plugged to anything. any idea what these might be?

 

Also, can you take close up pic of the top of the throttle body? mine are all messed up here
