I've got a 250,000 mile 2000 2wd 2.5l and it throws a 301 cyl1 misfire code. I can clear the code and it runs fine for a week or so ( probably 5 or 6 starts but it seems to do it more wen its hot outside ) and it'll throw the code again. I've put new coil packs plugs and wires on it. The code keeps coming back. It'll idle rough n die sometimes. When I'm coasting to a stop sometimes it'll die ( 5 speed manual ) any help? 2002 2.3 cyl. 1 misfire code. what do you check first??
