88 ranger 2.3L(gas) No fuel injector pulse

88 ranger 2.3L(gas) No fuel injector pulse

started out running good when i got it then slowly started to run richer an richer blowing black smoke now it has no pulse at the injectors before it quit running i tried a map sensor. After it quit i put a new ECM no change though i need to know what triggers the injectors pulse so i can trace the problem.

5-speed mazda trans
Bored .30 over
new turbocharged mustang head
cold air intake

It ran perfect for a year with these mods then slowly got worse

First place to look is the EGR valve. It could be crapped up enough to stick open.
Then you may need to remove the O2 sensors and clean them off. Carefully.

but how could any of that stop the injectors from pulsing ?
i have good pressure at the fuel rail but no electricity to the injectors.
i ohm tested the wire back from injectors back to ecm.
that was fine but the ecm is not sending a signal telling the injectors to pulse.
ecm has been replaced trying to solve this...

Does the crank sensor control the injector pulse?
I had checked it before it died completely and it was ok but ill check it again any idea of the ohm specs? i cant remember what they where
