89 2.3 asking help
I was just got a 89 2.3 ranger with some problems, It was given to me in return for fixing an eclipse. So heres the skinny on what I'm trying to do. I want to pull the engine and trans out together and I'm curious on which way would be the better way to taking it out. From the top or the bottom? When i looked at it it appeared it might be easier to take it out of the top but it also looks like their might be some clearance issues.
So the deal is with the truck the engine is leaking oil, slave cylinder is leaking and losing pressure for clutch, and no 5th and reverse (thinkin 5/R shift fork). I'm trying to get this little monster back up and running so i can then take down my other car for an engine rebuild.
So to recap, pull it from the top or bottom? I asked one of my buddies on which way you could do it, but it seems like dropping it from the bottom on a dolly isn't practical, but then again I'm not really too sure, most of my experience is on transversed mounted engines / trans and on those it's either or. Any help would be appreciated
