91 ranger 2300 motor to 92 mustang 2300 motor

so I basically striped downed the motor to a long block with everything except throttle body and made it look like the 91. I even got the coil packs on both sides no as opposed to the 2 on the same side. My question is the dip stick. The one on the 92 was bent and the 91 motor the dip stick sits more forward. Can I use this and still get an accurate reading or should I look for a 92 one. The 92 motor I'm using was off an automatic and mine 91 ranger is a 5 speed is there anything I should be cautious of when I put this motor in? I even fit the stock motor mounts off the 91 onto the 92. It all seems to be in its place.. I'm just not sure about oil pan and dip stick. A lot of BS here but can someone point anything out that I may have or will be missing before I put it in? Motors look Identical to me. Just to be clear I'm putting a 92 automatic stang 2.3 into a ranger that had a 2.3 5 speed and will remain 5 speed. I know the flywheel. FYI. Thanks

They are both 2.3l lima engines so the same.
Car engines had different heads and cams, more HP and less torque for car cams
In '91 and '92 both should have "D" ports in heads

Oil pans will probably be different because of different under carriages.
Dip stick is for the oil pan used.
And oil capacity is for the oil pan used

Look here: Ford Ranger Fluids & Capacities

If you are using the truck oil pan then after adding 4 quarts, check level, then disable coils for a no start and crank engine a few times to fill filter and get some oil circulated.
Then check dip stick again

Will the 92 mustang 2.3 oil pan work with the 91 ranger frame or do I need to swap oil pans. I get the dip stick part of the deal. They just look so much the same. So is that all? I cant get that lucky lol.

Never did that swap so can't tell you about the oil pan.
I would think you could use either going into the 2WD Ranger since engine sits higher, but never did it so...........
