Anaerobic Sealer or Ultra Black RTV?

I have a leak on my 5 speed manual tranny @ the tail section bolt pattern.
shift rail plug are not leaking, neither is the input, or output seals.
I went to Ford for a gasket, & the parts guy said it uses sealer, no gasket, he even showed me on the cpu.
What is on it now looks to be black, & I thought was a gasket, apparently not.
So in your opinion which should I use ?
The Red Stuff or Black ?

Thanks, Tim.

Permatex "the right stuff" If it leaks again, you missed a spot. I've used it on all sorts of stuff and could not be more happy with it.
