carb flooding

carb flooding

I have a 1984 ford ranger 2.3ltr 1bbl carb,its been flooding out and running real rich.it has a feedback card with feedback selonoid.i just got the carb rebuilt two months ago.could it be the feedback selonoid the reason its flooding out and running rich?thankyou!!

Most likely the float is sticking , holding the inlet needle off its seat.
Was a common problem on rebuilt carbs.
Take a large screwdriver handle and give the side of the fuel bowl a couple sharp whacks before disassembling it to see if it frees up .
