Check work before I button it up, please!

Replaced timing belt, tensioner and CPS and have a few doubts:
1) do I take the red plastic clearance jigamabob off the crankshaft position sensor or leave it?
2) do I have the timing marks lined up on the crank, oil pump and camshaft?

Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the forum

Yes the red alignment tool should be removed

Yes, the marks look correct, seen here: https://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/e...-09_111224.png

The crank key should be pointed at 90deg from oil pan, not the dot, hard to tell from the picture

Awesome! Thanks- the instructions that came with the part went from mounting and aligning (using the tool) straight to tightening everything up without addressing the tool again.

All done and fixed!

I put it all together, checked my work and hit the key... And it just cranked, no spark. I forgot to plug the CPS into the harness. Once I got that addressed, it fired up and settled into a beautiful 650 RPM idle. It runs great and I couldn't be happier.

Thanks for the help!
