For those of you who would like to clean your own fuel injectors, I ran across this video last week on Youtube and gave it a try yesterday. It worked very well. I did have one that had a poor spray pattern until cleaned. It's cheap enough to give it a shot, too. I used a 9-volt battery instead of a 12-volt source.

Less than a half hour and all four were done.

I'm sure mine need cleaning but what would be the benefits?

 

A better and more consistent flow pattern, which will help both emissions and mileage.

I forgot to add: be sure to buy both new upper and lower O-rings and replace them before reassembling. I finger-wipe of vaseline on the O-rings before re-inatalling makes that process much easier.

You can also buy an injector service kit that includes the orings,pintle caps & injector filters(installed in the top of each injector) The kit thats shown in the following link will service 8 injectors,so youll have a second set for the next service or a kit might be available that includes just whats needed for 4 injectors(on a different website)
