Flowmaster 40 on 2.5L

Anyone know how a Flowmaster 40 would sound on a 2.5L Ranger? When I first got the truck it had no muffler and sounded like crap. I have a stock one on it now but it is just a little to quiet for me. Anyone have an idea if it would still sound crappy or ok? I can get one for free from a buddy.

I dont think any exhaust on a 4 cylinder will sound good.... I say leave it stock imo.

Magnaflow would probably sound a little better on a 4 banger imo, wouldnt be as loud.

I think it would sound pretty good for a 4 cylinder. I would go with an original 40.

I did not find many good vids of flowmaster 40's on a ranger with 2.5 but i guess a few that you could kinda hear was good sounding. Would you just put a turn down on or what?

Just go to a shop and get them to put the muffler in place of the stock one.

I can put it on, no problem. The stock one is already cut anyways.

I got turn downs and its a pain inside the cab. Im getting tips 45ed out the rear to get the sound away from the truck. From 1800-2300rpm my change in my cup holders jumps around.

I just had one put on my 4.0 and I can't tell the difference between it and the stock one. I'm rather disappointed.

Totally serious. Sounds deeper at start up and idle, and if you rev it, but on the road, it sounds totally stock, even if you're mashing the pedal to the metal.
