heat problems. please help

hey i have a 95 mazda b2300 its a great running truck and i've been very happy with it since i bought it this summer. but now its winter and my heat isnt working. i did the typical easy fixes ( thermostat, upper and lower radiator hoses, tried puttin somethin in front of the radiator to make it run warmer) but i still got no heat. then i got more serisous and replaced the heater core. 10 hours in a cold shop pullin and popin stuff but i finally got the new core in. heat still doesnt work. i've read things talkin about the blend door breakin but mine is cable driven and when i had the dash off it seemed to work corectly. now my question is does anyone have any idea about what my problem could possibly be? ideas or suggestions are always welcome :)

thank you for your time

well i found the problem with my heat after i finally had enough of being cold. i talked to a reputable mechanic in my town and when i told him what i had done he said that everything i did would have been what he would have checked. so in anger i reached my hand into the very small slit that holds the cable for the blend door and pulled. to my surprise it moved and hot air started blowin out. i guess there is some adjustment in the cable on the blend door.
