i have 92 ranger that i was thinking of putting a 2.3 turbo coupe engine in, my problem is that i wasnt thinking of trying to get some good power out of it but then it hit me i live in California were emissions laws SUCK!! now my question is there a way were it can pass smog and having some decent power at the same time cause this is my daily driver and i also want it reliable?? PLEASE HELP!

 

yea you can pass...big thing is engine must be newer than the truck (which im sure wont be a prob since you have a 92) and then make sure it isnt spewing out fumes....

 

Do you guys have the sniffer test? We used to but now they just plug into the comp and look for codes. Just wondering.

 

yeah im sure they do have it man stupid California emission laws
