Noise from the front ...

'94 B2300 with 390K miles

Strange noise (low tone sound)) coming from the front when I make a right turn (I can hear it usually when I am slowing down). I checked both left and right rotors, brake pads, shook both tires to see if there's any play, nothing wrong. I replaced both rotors, pads, inner/outer bearings 2 years ago. Where is that noise coming from? Again, only when I make a right turn, my steering wheel is not vibrating in any way.

Please advise.

I would check the bearings. A quick way (but not always accurate) is just raise the front end and place on jack stands. Spin each tire with similar force and see if they spin the same amount. Sometimes it's better to remove the brake calipers so there is no drag.
Just because the bearings are only 2 years old doesn't mean something hasn't happened. Sad but that is the quality we have to deal with now a days!!

Thanks Rock304. After observing it for a week or so, I have noticed the noise may occur when I am braking. I checked both front brakes (rotors, brake pads, etc), spined each tire, did not find any issues at all. I wonder if it is because my rear brakes are worn out, and it puts too much load on the front brakes which causes noise when braking. The last time I replaced my rear brake shoes was long time ago, maybe over 10 years. The last time I checked them was 2 years ago, the brake shoes were showing some hairline cracks. I actually bought the replacement but have not had a chance to work on it.

Do you think I should replace my brake drums as well? Please advise.

Most likely you will need to replace them. I did respond to your other thread about measuring them first. The cost of new ones is typically low enough that I would just put on new ones! Make sure to spray brake parts cleaner on them first to remove any residue on the shoe surface.

Totally agreed. I have ordered 2 new drums already. Hope the replacement should be easy. Thanks.

The noise from the front has been resolved. It was the wheel bearing (right side). Thank you all.
