I have a 1996 ranger w/2.3l and 5 spd it is a 2wd, anyway i am getting a dtc PO135 - BANK 1 SENSOR 1 HEATER CIRCUIT. I have replaced the O2 sensor and the computer, the cat. converter is about a year old. Someone had suggested the fuel pressure regulator, I pulled the vac. line and it is dry no fuel leak. I feel like it has to be so simple that I am just over looking it...HELP PLEASE. To reliable a truck to get rid of because of a silly problem. Also have to have NO check light for NC state inspection and has to be inspected to get tags. Any help Greatly Appreciated, Thanks

 

Check the connector for corrosion and make sure the wires are not damaged. You may also want to check the O2 sensor itself to make sure you didn't get a bad one out of the box! Rare but happens sometimes.
