I have a 1989 Ford Ranger with a 2.3 l engine I have a major oil leak coming down the side of the block on the drivers side between engine block and transmission.The valve cover is dry and the oil sending unit is not leaking,it looks like it is "pooling' on top of transmission and running down side.I am stumped can anyone help?

Rear Main seal on crankshaft

Pull off inspection plate on bottom of bellhousing and see if there is oil inside
