Please Help I Have A Nocking Rod And Need To Fix It
I've had my 91 ford ranger for 2 yrs now and now when i accelerate i here a noise coming from the motor that sounds like something nocking.
All i want to know is how can you fix it?
And do i have to tear the whole motor apart?
the motor is 2.3l with 8 sparkplugs
Please Help!!

Calm down , it may not be as bad as you think.
Does it only "knock" when the engine is under load ?
It could be just "pinging" ,that's when the fuel/air mix in the cylinder ignites before the spark plug fires.
Search the forums for "Seafoam" and run a can through the system.
