ranger skipping at low rpm
ranger skipping at low rpm
Bought my 94 2.3 for nothing and have some problems. With my motor at low rpm the motor skips a lot but you rev it just a little bit and its fine. Put new gas in it. Changed the timing belt also because I suspected that it jumped timing. It was fine but put the new belt on anyways. I'm thinking coil packs. Plugs and wires are only 10k old, I found the receipt in the glove box. Any other suggestions ?
You can use starter fluid and spray it around the engine while its running. If the engine accelerates it means you have a leak and the starter fluid is entering the intake through the leak. You can usually find the area the leak is located at this way.
