I have 93 ranger xlt with 2.3L. The starter just drags and clicks but will crank eventually. The battery is charging and I checked the starter while off the truck the bendix is engaging fine. Has anyone had this problem before? Thanks in advance for suggestions to try.

 

It may be the starter solenoid, which I believe is attached to the starter. Have it checked at a local parts store. Otherwise it must be a bad ground somewhere in the starter circuit.
