Icon5 03 edge 2wd...3"fabtech who has it???

Thinking about lifting my 03 once i wear my current tires down. I work for Les Schwab here in oregon and i called fabtech about the 3'' spindle lift. I can get it for.....nevermind everyone will hate me if they knew lol.

ANWAYS.... just seeing if anyone else has the same thing already on their truck and wondering how it rides and how it holds up :)

also thinking about running some 18's just for the mere fact that i never see rangers run them haha

It'll ride stock and will last you forever if you don't go out and jump you truck.

You'll be good in that case. Turning radius increased because of the larger tires and wider stance.

At first the turning radius was reduced a bit, but after the spindle banged up the lower arm a bit, I got my full lock back.

gotta breat it in somehow right? haha. its killing me now i probably got 10k miles left on these tires and i dont wanna break open the piggy bank for new wheels and tires yet. I'm thinkin some 275 70 16's oughta look good with that 3" or i might grab some 275 65 18's. its sayin a 32 fits best but i know for a fact it wouldnt rub til you get a 33 under there and even then it has to be something with some pretty good sidewall lugs

Yep, had to break it in alright lol. Well the only downside to getting an 18" wheel is the tire prices. Nitto and Toyo make some good lookin tires in those sizes. I'd get at least a 33" tire, you won't rub.

I'm really thinking on an underdrive pulley when i do the lift as well. and l kinda luck out on recalibrating the speedo its already off about 2mph lol. so it should be perfect

Lucky, I wish I had hookups like that. I'd be on 35s right now.

I would regear and add a tuner before doing the pulley. I have done all 3, and have to say that the pulley is very minimal compared to those other two. Get a good tune, and you can recalibrate your speedometer as well. Regearing will not be too expensive since you are 2wd.

yeah i'm pretty lucky there for sure. any recommendations on the tuner and gearing? i'm used to chevy's lol. i know i know you can hate me :( but i traded down to a 2wd because of the damn gas prices and theres not much use for 4wd around here. i was still driving circles around these city slickers with their huge *** dodges when we get snow lol

Well an X-Cal 2/3 will be adequate. You would have to find a Tuner to actually create a tune for your truck. I had my X-Cal tuned by Fred at Rogue Performance.

If you are going to get 33s and don't have 4.10s stock, I would go ahead and regear to 4.56/4.30s. But most people are satisfied with 4.10s on a DD.

Check your door tab, Ford Ranger Axles - The Ranger Station. Being an Edge, you might have 4.10s but just make sure.
