04 Upper Control Arm/Ball Joint

I am having a hell of a time finding these for my truck. I need them desperately and the parts stores up here dont have any record of them. I have contacted Rock Auto and they gave me a part number of 45D1081 and 45D1082 of ACDELCO but there is a 12 day wait on shipping. Anyone had luck finding some for a 04 4wd with torsion bar suspension, one peice design?

The ball joints that fit (edges) are ones for a 01+ sport track 4x4, and I got them from napa, very heavy duty and greasable.

Napa also has a different part # for 4x4 ones, its on their webpage, you can look up the part numbers www.napaonline.com

here are mine that i just replaced:

the reason the 4x4 balljoints dont work on edge's is becasue the spindle has a hole of 5/8" and the balljoint stud was only 1/2". The sport track ones are a 5/8" stud therefor it worked. (i hope that makes sence)

i had to get mine replaced by Ford. Now my lowers are going according to Big-O tire, as well as my tie rods. I wonder how long I can make the front end last until i chunk the torsion bars for a better suspension?

Your balljoints went out from your 33's I have 60,000 miles on my truck and I am just now having to replace them because I ripped all the boots putting my spindles on a while ago.

My uppers went when I had the 31s on. I'm just shy of 40k right now and the 33s went on maybe 500 miles ago, if that.

Damn maybe they were defective because I have had 33's or 35's since 11K miles.

Well, I also wheel my truck when I'm off road. I'm not rough on my truck, but I'm not exactly easy on her either. It's ok, major mods are in store within the netx month or 2. I should have done most of this back when I had $5k from my accident settlement. Now I'm having to built back up from scratch.

04Lvl2, if I can find the receipt I can try to get you the ford part numbers if you want them. I'll be at work all day tomorrow though.

EDIT: come to think about it, when I cranked my t-bars (only about 1 inch) i kept trying to get into Big-O tires for an alignment. It took me some time to get in, mainly because of my school and work schedule vs their hours of business. I was way out of alignment, requiring an eccentric kit from Big-O and then Ford put on a camber kit. Or was it the other way around. Ehh, whatever. All I know is she drives straight now. But I do remembering reading back when I first got the truck that front suspension components are prone to faster wear from cranking the t-bars.

Something is not right here. 19mm is a very close equivalent to 3/4" not 5/8".

Not true. The passenger side UCA on a 2002 4x4 is 2 piece but 2003.5 and later is 1-piece.
