When I did my BL I decided the heck with that, and have been riding with the stock filler neck and no extension for like, a year and a half no problems.. Haha

I just finished installing a BL today and we didnt use the extension. The stock filler was plenty long enough.

I would get a 2 gallon gas tank and fill it up. Then adjust the filler neck as needed and keep pouring gas in until you find the issue.
