1992 ranger flip kit????
1992 ranger flip kit????
I have a 1992 ranger 4x2 4.0 I was trying to atleast even the rear with the front but then I seen these flip kits that flip the rear axel on top of the leafs making it a 4 to 5 inch drop but I was woundering would u need new shocks or could I just bottom out my stock ones and have a ruffer ride and would I have to put the c notch or could I get by without it and just take it easy on bumbs??
Ok that sounds good but would I need to do the shock or could I just keep the stock one just bottomed out and it would just ride rough and the flip kit im looking at is -5 do you think the notch is needed or would driving it easy around bumps and such be good
The flip kit is pretty much self contained, but you might run into some issues, depending on your approach to installing it. Removing the leaf springs can be difficult if the shackle bolts are frozen, so assume you'll need to replace those when you drop the leaf springs. You might also need to replace the u-bolts that hold the axle to the spring pack, since i dont believe those are suppose to be reused. Once its all together, you'll need to set the pinion angle when the truck is back on the ground.
