Icon5 2 questions about shocks

Alright I have almost 60k on my truck and was wondering when the ideal time to replace shocks is? Also second question is what is some good shocks to get?

chances are.. if your still running stock shocks, I really wouldnt be surprised if they were already blown..

First test is to pull off a rear shock and test it out.. see if you can compress it by hand real easy or not.. then its time to see if you need some shocks..


The main runners up on shocks are usually kyb or bilsteins.. i have never tried a Bilstein yet.. and my only experience is with KYB.. so I can be a fanboy, or I can tell you to browse around a bit and see which type suits you..

Do you prefer lots of offroad and a bit of town/highway, or do you like alot of highway and a bit of offroad?

I had 78K when I replaced mine, they were really needing replacement.
Avg shock life can be about 50K or less

check this thread out I myself got KYBs, love them.
Summit was cheapest.
