On the slate tomorrow is to exchange the front leafs from All Pro (5" to 6" leafs), get the finished leaf top plates made up, and get the rear axle finished. That involves setting the pinion axle, welding the leaf perches, shock tabs, gusseting the leaf hanger brackets, and whatever else I fail to think of right now. heh.

I was set back abit by having to move the front axle back about 2" due to misalignment of the pitman arm to the tie rod. I've been working on the steering linkage. Because of how I've chosen to do various parts of this job to a certain level of quality I'm not just chopping up the stock Ranger shaft and piecing stuff together. I'm doing the whole steering shaft from new material (u-joints, DOM tube). I'm also using chromoly and heims for the tie rods and drag links. I spent most of today going around town and gathering up the needed fittings and hoses for the steering box. That took up a couple days in all.
This weekend I have planned to finalize the steering, get the front shocks/hoops up and in, finish weld everything that needs it. Then paint it all to look purrddy
Sorry for lack of pics - Jason's camera's battery is dead. I've meant to bring mine in, just havn't remembered to yet.

ugh 78-79 bronco d44 is just as hard to run leafs on. If you want a HP 44 you need one out of a 78-79 F250. Its the same axle as a f150 with out the wedges. but its 8 lug outer so youll need to swap that to 5 lug or change to a 8 lug rear.

it wont do much good. when the tank is empty it leans the other way then. trust me i have adjusted my front coils a hundred times. i finally gave up. on full it leans some and empty is leans the other way.
