2wd lift
2wd lift
ok, well, after hanging around alot of people with 4x4's and lifted trucks i've finally came around to wanting one myself, so instead of dropping my 2wd 4x2, i think i want to lift it. Now i just read up a little bit on it with the good ol' faithful search button, but its almost 3am and im on my buddies computer.
So, how much am i expecting to invest in this, for like a 2" to 4", or maybe 6" lift? I think 6" might be a bit much though.
But the rear of my truck sits really high, and my front wheels kind of lean inwards, so maybe if i just jacked up the front end to level it out or something? i'm not totally sure what i want to do yet, but it is pretty fun to just drive over **** haha.
so any estimates?

Does that 6" lift come with everything except shocks and brake extensions? WHy is it so cheap? If I put a 4" lift kit on my truck can I just throw 6" lift coils on later on if I want to gain some height or do I need different drop brackets and stuff? Sorry, I'm retarded and have never lifted a truck before.
alright, thanx guy. I want to lift it, but at the same time i want to lower it because its only 2wd, but idk yet. 2" doesn't seem like it will be enough, but the 4" kit is way expensive. I found a 4" kit on Ebay for like $450, but cant really truck Ebay for quality stuff. I'll keep thinking about this.
Thankx

well, will F150 front coils work on my truck? i know on my buddies 84 4x4 it will lift the front like 2 to 4 inches, but will they work on my 4x2 with out F-ing up the ball joins and everything? i just hate the way my rear end is so much higher than my rear, and im pretty sure the whole front suspension is shot because the front wheels kind of bow inwards.
oh i hate body lifts. Its just the front of my truck sags so badly and i hate it. so i was just looking for a cheap way to jack it up so its level with the rear, then getting a 4" suspension lift...
So are there any coils off another truck that i can easily swap on to get the front level with the rear?

well i found some 2" polyuerathan spacers on Ebay for like $30 so i think im going to go that route for a while, just so its level. But hopefully in the future i'll get a 4 or 6 inch lift for it and then in the far distant future i'll do a SAS and get 4x4.
thanx guys
