installed new leafs and t bars today

i finally got around to installing my new #1 torsion bars and C leafs today. i didnt realise how much they were all sagging til i got the new ones on today. WoW what a ride difference. i had b bars and k leafs so the ride is a bit stiffer now but i like it. the truck sits about 3/4 of a inch higher in the rear and about a inch taller up front. ill try and get pics up tomorow.

ooh ya one more thing. USE A 6 POINT SOCKET TO REMOVE THE OLD TORSION BAR ADJUSTMENT BOLTS. i used a 12 point and stripped my passenger side bolt. what a PIA it was to remove it. also twisted my cheap 6 inch c clamp from habor freight lol but all is good now. the truck rides like new

I swaped out my b bars for #1 bars a few weekends ago and someone on here(gatorblue) told me to use a 3 jaw gear puller to hold and release the tension. it worked real good. if you dont mind me asking how much did the new leafs cost?

well i actually ended up gettin the off a totaled 06 ranger with like 8k on it from the junk yard for 100 bucks. ford only wanted like 160 a side i think.

i needed new leafs cuz my passneger side was about 1 3/4 of a inch lower that the drivers side. i didnt realise how worn out my old ones were until i had them sittin next to the new ones.

i didnt even think of useing a puller like that lol. ooh well least i got it donw finally

#1 bars are the highest spring rate torsion bar avaliable for the Ford Ranger. Came as standard equipment on the Fx4 Rangers and most 4x4 xcab 4.0L trucks. Going to a #1 bar will ride stiffer(how i like it), it'll resist sagging and sorta keep the 'lift' if you cranked them. All advantanges to me over a B bar for my truck...i converted about 5 months ago or so.

Bars are chosen upon equipment options, drivetrain options, and cab configurations.
