Add a leaf and coil spacers

I have an 04 2wd regular cab and I am looking into a lift probably around 2 inches. I don't want blocks or shackles that will flatten my leaf springs, so I am looking into add a leaf. I am wondering if there is anything I should look out for, or any pros and cons of an AAL. Also the same with coil spacers up front. I'm not looking to spend a fortune on this setup. Thanks in advance for any help.

Stiffer ride.

Some guys say coil spacers beat up the coils, but a lot of people run them
